A bit about Virginia (Ginni):
American, female living in Brunswick, Maine USA.
Born: Sunday, 21 December 1947. 28,095 Days ago!
In November, 1973, I (then Ginni McCullough) and my then boyfriend, Peter G. Kellner, volunteered to come to Israel after the outbreak of the Yom Kippur War. We came to Kibbutz Yagur. After one month of trying us out in different jobs, I (Ginni) was assigned to a children's house, Gan Chatsav, and Peter was assigned to tend a chicken house. We loved our six months at Yagur and came to love the friends we made there. We returned for six weeks in the summer of 1977 and have continued to correspond with several friends from Israel. Several of them have come to visit us in the States. After nearly 11 years together, in Oct. of 1983, Peter and I went our separate ways but, we have remained good friends. Peter is married with two children. I am married with two stepchildren.
I have been very blessed in this life but, I did leave a good piece of my heart at Kibbutz Yagur.
I welcome news from anyone who may have been at Yagur between November, 1973 and the end of May, 1974.
Virginia (Ginni)'s message to the world:
We are One.
Virginia (Ginni)'s worldly wisdom:
Before you die you must... return to Kibbutz Yagur, if at all possible.
